On the road again
Posted On 07/13/08 @ 9:10:AM by Parrothead
I started riding in 1968 ... (I was very very very young back then ... yeah maybe I wasn't born yet ).  My first bike was a Honda 90 street bike.  I loved it! I lived "on" and "for" that bike!  My next bike was a Honda 450. I found it to be a bit boxy and top heavy (just my opinion)didn't ride it much so I eventally gave it to my son. In 2005 my husband and I went to Key West and rented a couple of scooters ... yes little 49cc scooters!  I was bitten by the bug again.  We bought a couple of scooters while in Key West and hauled them home on a make shift trailer we made out of our car dolly while in a campground.  Must have been quite a sight!  Those didn't last long before we bought 150cc scooters.  My husband loves the scooter and is currently trying to decide wheather to upgrade to a Suzuki Burgman or ??? he is still looking to see whats out there... but I whined so much he bought me a Yamaha 650 V-Star Classic which I love! So after many years I am back on the road again and loving it!

Enjoy the ride.  Nothing wrong with a Yamaha.  My wife rides a burgman 400 and loves it.  Will keep up with my Suzuki c50.  Only problem I have with it, is the time it takes to pull all the plastic off for service.  About all you can do to it, without spending 3 hours to remove the plastic is change the oil.  My guess is that the honda and yamaha scooters are about the same.

It doens't matter what you ride...It's only important "that you ride".  Keep up the passion and you'll have the time of your life.  Monster
