Phone calls (from a real wooden booth) went from 5 cents to 10 cents.

 (typewriter keyboards had a cents symbol)

 I guess nothing costs less than a buck today.

Not only did milk come in glass bottles but they appeared by magic full on your front step and would disappear if you left them there empty. Now milk has to be personally transported from your local supplier and hand carried by you to your door.
