Hello to all. Returned to MI this week after spending the past 3 weeks with Gregg. He continues to show small improvements - hugged me close before I left. Gregg stills sleeps alot which is part of the healing process but when he is awake, he is having more 'aware' times and knows all who have been to see him. PT is going slowly and they are working on his balance. His massage therapist is also a Reiki Master and has done wonders with getting Gregg to be able to rel... Read More
Hi all ~~ It's been a long haul and with my husband DOC coming back from Germany we've been able to get in to see and visit Gregg Boyd once a week. I am happy to be able to announce that Gregg IS making progress. He chose to wake up for us and our visit yesterday. He made Direct eye contact with Doc and then with me. He shook Doc's hand before we left. His grip is getting stronger. Kathy, his girlfriend, shared that they Physical Therapist is having Gregg sit up in a chair, beside the bed.... Read More
I was just wondering if anyone rides anything else besides road bikes, I mean do you have a second bike like a trail, dual purpose or M/X bike you ride sometimes? I'd like to have another duel purpose bike to play with. I'm too old to race M/X now.... Read More
Just a short note. I'm back in Urbana since Wednesday...another 550 mile ride. More small things but really showing he's aware and awakening. On Thursday night he kept tapping his right shoulder, arm and hand with his left hand. He hasn't been able to use his right side yet though he has strength in that arm. I explained to him it was all there and all right, would just take time. I asked him to touch my face if he understood me......and he did....my nose... Read More
As I sit in front of my computer this morning I am thankful to be planning my ride later today. I look forward to the open road and the possibility that i will make new friends, or maybe I will just ride and have an uneventful trip. I like people and I like bikes and i like little animals too. Life is good even with problems that I must deal with each day.
